‘Bronte is the creative force behind Studio Sylvie, an award-winning, woman-led garden design studio.
Her passion for nature-inspired landscapes began in the Suffolk countryside, where childhood holidays with her grandparents sparked a curiosity about the natural world. Raised in a creative family, design runs in her veins, but her first career was in equine sports massage therapy. Nearly a decade of working holistically with horses deepened her understanding of living systems and their connections to function, wellbeing, and place. Eventually, her creative instincts led her back to design, blending her holistic approach with a love for nature and outdoor spaces.
She trained in horticulture with the RHS and studied garden design at Capel Manor College before graduating with Distinction from the London College of Garden Design in 2024. This year, she received the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers’ Student Designer of the Year award (Domestic Category).
Bronte founded Studio Sylvie to bring sustainable garden design to a wider audience. Through Ask Sylvie, she offers personalised, client-focused consultations, while Sylvie Design creates digital landscape illustrations for design professionals.
