Caroline Clayton is one half of the sibling duo behind Viriditas Studio, a garden design studio, set up in 2021.
After losing their mother in 2017 Caroline left her career in the music industry and moved back from Los Angeles to London and took solace in nature. Realising its power to heal and its positive impact on our wellbeing, she began to reconnect with her childhood, the outdoors, and herself. After that, life changed quite quickly. The past few years have been a journey of discovery for Caroline, first studying with the RHS in 2018 and then at LCGD, Kew Gardens in 2019.
In 2023, Viriditas were thrilled to be awarded a Silver Gilt medal for their ‘Nurturing Nature in the City’ garden at the Hampton Court Garden Festival, and will this year be taking part in Chelsea Flower Show. Their garden, sponsored by Me & Em, has been created as a sanctuary for the busy modern woman. Viriditas Studios have been named as one of House and Gardens Rising Stars as part of their Icons of Design series.
